Our SENDco is Tanya Easter, Assistant Headteacher. It is the policy of our school to include every child wherever possible, regardless of their learning difficulty, emotional and behavioural difficulty, sensory or physical needs. We work to ensure that every child progresses towards their full potential, within the inclusive setting of the school.

We assess all pupils regularly, set targets, plan and set appropriate differentiated work to meet the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

Budget permitting, this may involve the support from outside agencies such as: Educational Psychologists; Speech and Language Therapists; Occupational Therapists and Mental Health specialists.

The pupil premium – this budget is received in accordance with children registered as having free school meals, and s used for 1-1 or small group work with a qualified Teacher. This is overseen by the Deputy Headteacher.

Equality Objective 2018/19: To ensure the gap between the disadvantaged children and other children is closing.

Any additional interventions are monitored and communicated with parents.
