We meet together for collective worship each day. This might be all together in the hall, in our classroom, or a few classes together. We might meet to celebrate our Christian values and share how we have shown these in our day to day learning and life at school, to listen to a bible story, to reflect on what we have learnt or talked about in worship or for our Praise Party… a rousing worship time together as a whole school!
Every member of the school community is welcome to join our worship. If you are a parent or carer we would love to see you! Worship is from 1:15pm to 1:30pm everyday. Please contact the school office if you would like to worship with us.
This term our theme in collective worship is 'Remembering Jesus.'
We have been talking about symbols and ways that help Christians to remember Jesus like the cross, bread and wine, the sign of the fish, reading the Bible, thanking God before we eat. We are also encouraging children to use the peace garden (a fenced area at the back of the playground) to think and pray if they would like to. There are pictures of Christian symbols, and some paper and pencils for children to write ways that help them remember Jesus. There are two wooden crosses where the ideas can be put: either into the holes of one cross or woven them into the mesh of the other.
The Lords Prayer
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your Kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom,
the power and the glory are yours.
Now and for ever.
(New English version - adopted by the Church of England in 1977)
